I’ve been working on my new website really dilligently for the past few months and was making great progress… but then I got distracted. Big time. As of late, above is a very rough draft of how I’ve been wasting my time until 2 or 3 in the morning, learning a new program and pulling random designs out of my ass. I still don’t know what I’m doing.
Anyway, sit tight. New site in a month, or three. Probably a year. I love you.

I started playing this new game with The Buddie. It’s called, “Take the Decoy Pants off.”
The rules and objectives are as follows:
MY GOAL: Fashion the Decoy Pants around The Buddie w/out him being able to take it off.
THE BUDDIE’S GOAL: Take the Decoy Pants off.
RULE #1: I can’t tie it the same way twice.
RULE #2: The Buddie’s not allowed to bark at me while I’m eating.
He won the first few rounds but by Round #4, it was very clear who the champion of the evening was going to be; the one with identical colored eyes, that’s who.
Aside from playing this game with The Buddie, I also gave my portfolio a much needed face lift. I’ve been wanting to do it for quite some time now and I finally buckled down and got it done. FrancisDelapena.com has a new look for December 2008!
I don’t think I’ve ever posted this on here. This was a music video I helped film last year for the band Esterlyn. I was behind the lens for most of the indoor shots, in the room with the green shelves. It was definitely one of the more fun shoots I’ve been involved with.

Myth: Keep someone awake who has had a recent concussion.
Fact: A person who has had a concussion may sleep through the night.
You do not need to keep awake a person with a recent concussion. This was recommended for years to observe a person for any changes after a concussion. People worried that the person may go into a coma and never wake up. This is no longer believed to be true. You can allow someone to sleep after a concussion.
This should cut down on sleep deprivation for all involved.People with concussion should be seen by a doctor if they were unconscious for more than 5 minutes or amnesia persists or if they do not appear to behave normally.
